Oconee State Park

Hey there!! Today we visit Oconee State Park! This is a large park that has something for everyone, a perfect mountain getaway. They have two small lakes, a nice campground, miles of trails and even a putt putt golf course!
The main office/country store is right next to the bigger lake. You can rent paddleboats, canoes, and swim at this lake.
There are several trails at the park, two lead to waterfalls! Today we took the lake trail, it circles the lake and is about 2 miles long. This trail is easy and mostly flat, the waterfall trails are harder and have more hills.
This park has so much to offer you really need to camp or stay in a cabin for a few days to enjoy it all. The trails don't disappoint, if you're up to it you can even hike down to Oconee Station falls and park. The lakes are nice, but not really large so you can probably explore the larger lake in a day. Did we mention the putt putt course?! As usual we ended up with more pictures than room, so be sure to scroll to see a few more pictures. Be sure to read all our state park adventures on this blog, and then visit our website to see the pictures that didn't make it in the blog, and in higher resolution (Blog pics are reduced quality to help with space/load times). Fine art prints are available for purchase at our site also. Be sure to connect with us on social media! All this can be found at our site:
