Woods Bay State Park

Here there! Today we visit woods bay! This isn't a very large park, but it still offers plenty to see and do!
There's a nature loop around the pond and a long boardwalk trail that goes through marsh. They also have a one mile, very unique kayak trail! There are several picnic areas and a large pavilion close to the main office and learning center.
Both trails start at the same place. You can detour off the pond loop trail, take the boardwalk (it's not a loop), then continue on the loop. There are several learning stops along the boardwalk trail. We hiked both and it was around 1.75 miles. The boardwalk is very diverse and unique, don't skip it! Oh, and watch out for alligators!!
Make sure you have enough time to enjoy this cool little park. The trails and wildlife are so unique and diverse you'll forget you're in SC!  Scroll down to see a few more pictures. Be sure to read all our state park adventures on this blog, and then visit our website to see the pictures that didn't make it in the blog, and in higher resolution (Blog pics are reduced quality to help with space/load times). Fine art prints are available for purchase at our site also. Be sure to connect with us on social media! All this can be found at our site:
