Lee State Park

Hey there! Today we visit Lee State Park! This is a really cool park with a lot of history, it is one of the parks built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. There are is a small lake and a few fishing ponds. For hiking, they have several trails, and even some equestrian trails. You can canoe and kayak along the parks hardwood forest floodplain! There are two campgrounds, one regular and for equestrian camping.

There is a boardwalk trail that goes through some of the forest, definitely worth the walk! There are several learning stops along the boardwalk, at the end is a large area with some benches.
The lake and ponds are by the main office. The lake has several picnic areas and benches around it, very scenic! There's even a few of the original well springs close to the lake.
This beautiful park has something for everyone. Spend a day or two enjoying and exploring it! Don't miss out on the boardwalk trail! Scroll down to see a few more pictures. Goodale State Park

Hey there! Today we explore Goodale State Park. This small park is perfect for a afternoon of relaxing or kayaking. It has a very unique lake! There is a playground, and picnic tables at the main office. They offer boat rentals at certain times so be sure to check in advance if need to rent one.
We aren't able to get out on the lake this trip but can't wait to visit again and explore the trees!
We hiked along the lake a little bit. The trail is mostly flat with plenty of views of the lake.
This is a unique little park! Don't pass this one by, get out on the lake and enjoy it! Scroll down to see a few more pictures. Lake Wateree

Hey there! Today we visit Lake Wateree State Park! This island park is surrounded by lake Wateree. It's a large park with plenty to see and do. Make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy the park when you visit!! The main area has a little shop, several picnic areas and the start to some trails. We visited in the fall, they were selling pumpkins!
From here we headed to the Desportes island trail, we caught a squirrel fight!! The trail head starts right from the parking lot.
The trails are mostly flat but have a lot of variety. You'll hike through the woods and along the lake. We ended up hiking 3 miles.

Watch out for fallen trees! There are a few park benches and picnic tables along the trails.
There are some beautiful views of the lake along the trails!
Don't forget to look up!!
This is another beautiful, large park. It's great for a day trip but I recommend staying a few days! As always I ended up with more pictures than room, so be sure to scroll to see a few more pictures.
