Lee State Park

Hey there! Today we visit Lee State Park! This is a really cool park with a lot of history, it is one of the parks built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. There are is a small lake and a few fishing ponds. For hiking, they have several trails, and even some equestrian trails. You can canoe and kayak along the parks hardwood forest floodplain! There are two campgrounds, one regular and for equestrian camping.

There is a boardwalk trail that goes through some of the forest, definitely worth the walk! There are several learning stops along the boardwalk, at the end is a large area with some benches.
The lake and ponds are by the main office. The lake has several picnic areas and benches around it, very scenic! There's even a few of the original well springs close to the lake.
This beautiful park has something for everyone. Spend a day or two enjoying and exploring it! Don't miss out on the boardwalk trail! Scroll down to see a few more pictures. Be sure to read all our state park adventures on this blog, and then visit our website to see the pictures that didn't make it in the blog, and in higher resolution (Blog pics are reduced quality to help with space/load times).
